Solid-State and Electromechanical Relay Products

Relays provide the ability to switch large voltages and currents reliably. Unlike a digital output, the voltage presented on the "output pin" is not fixed at TLL or LVTTL levels, instead your application provides it as an input. This means relays can switch analog voltages, even up to 120 Volts, or more!

Two primary types of relays are available here at ACCES: Electromechanical and Solid-State.

Electromechanical Relays offer zero leakage current but suffer from contact bounce.

Solid-State Relays (often FET drivers) offer zero contact bounce, but suffer from a small leakage current in the "off" state — We're talking a few microamps here!
